Arrival Time:   Contestants and families can begin arriving Friday morning at 10 a.m. 

Schedule:  

 Friday:

-      4:00 PM HS Barrel and Pole Slack (Start of HS 1st go)
-      7:00 PM HS Performance
-      Slack if needed for remaining HS events immediately following performance 

Saturday:

9:00 AM Maverick and Peewee Performance (1st go)
JH Performance (1st go) will immediately follow the Mavericks Rodeo no sooner than 10:30 a.m.
4:00 PM HS Barrel and Pole Slack (Start of HS 2nd go)
7:00 PM HS Performance
Slack if needed for remaining HS events immediately following performance -HS awards immediately following Saturday night slack 

Sunday:

Admission:   Each contestant will receive one guest wristband. Contestants will get in with their back numbers.  Additional tickets (wristbands) are $15 for the weekend. Please specify how many you need during call-in 

Stalls:  Stalls are required for overnight. Stalls are $97 for the weekend and will include 2 bags of shavings. You may pre-purchase additional shavings during call-in for $9/bag. No additional shavings will be available for purchase once you arrive. There is a nearby Southern States where shavings can be purchased. You can bring your own shavings. 

Trailer/Camper Hook-ups:  There are 40 hook-ups available on site. Those who specify they would like a hook up will be placed in a random draw for the hookups that are available. Hook ups are $85 for the weekend. For those who do not get a hookup, generators are allowed and there is a $25 dry camping fee for the weekend. Everyone will be charged the $25 dry camping fee and if you are chosen for a hookup, you will then need to submit the remaining $60 for the difference. You will be notified after call-in. 

Call-in:  Call-in will open on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 12:00 a.m. and close Monday, March 17, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Contestants will call-in using the online links provided on the VHSRA website. You should receive an email confirmation with your call-in information as soon as you submit it. The email will come from “Google Forms” and may go to your spam folder. If you do not receive confirmation let your Rodeo Secretary, Becky Stone, know right away. Do not wait until call-in has ended. If you have questions regarding call-in, please contact Becky Stone at vjracallin@gmail.com or (804) 387-5911. Once you have called in you are responsible for your fees unless you present written Med out or Vet out documentation. Draw will be done randomly, and we will not honor any requests to run in a specific slack or performance unless you have an approved reason as per the NHSRA rulebook. 

Side pots:  Optional side pots will be offered for Barrels, Poles, Goats and Breakaway. Side pot entries are to be made during call-in. A flyer will be posted prior to call-in with more information. 

Mandatory Contestant Meeting:  There will be no formal contestant meeting. Any pertinent information will be emailed out prior to the rodeo and posted at the arena. 

Concessions:   There will be food vendors on site during the rodeo performances. 

Awards:   We will be awarding All Around Buckles to Peewee, Maverick Girl, Maverick Boy, JH Girl, JH Boy, HS Girl, HS Boy. Peewee All Around award will not include mutton bustin points. Average awards for each event for all divisions will also be awarded. 

Rodeo Dress Code:

• Western hat/helmet
• Long sleeve western shirt
• Jeans
• Boots
• Back number all weekend 

Entry Fees:  Entry fees are listed below and are charged for each go of the rodeo. EXAMPLE if the entry for an event is $40 and you are entering that event both days (goes) of the rodeo you will pay $80 for that event. There will also be a $10 administrative fee charged to each contestant for the weekend. A list showing your total fees owed will be posted within 48 hours of the close of call-in. North Carolina, please pay your state directly. 

NC Contestants: Entry fees along with any other fees owed MUST be received by Monday, April 7. 2025. Fees can be paid online through the Nchsrodeo.com there is a payment link. Or pay by mail received by April 7th to:
